Carls window tint is the place to go. Years ago when I got my first car tinted I met him at my friends shop, he was doing a job most professionals couldn’t do. He was doing the rear window for a old Corvett stingray. The owner said he went to multiple places that said they couldn’t do it.
He ripped out the tint, laid it out and perfectly made sure there wasn’t a single bubble. They guy was schooled, he didn’t think that could happen and so fast. I have watched him and his team do multiple cars a day years ago before he had a single stand alone shop. This is the place you want to go to get it done right the first time.

On my cars I’m a fan of tinting all the way around. Keep it looking smooth and flowing with your car. It looks blocky when you have the backs tinted stock and not the fronts. To keep it legal on my car I have 35% all the way around and I got the back window a little darker. Since there is so much light coming from the front window if you darken the back a little more I think it makes it look better and is nicer on the highway when trucks are behind you.

On my Jeep Grand Cherokee it has 25 percent stock on all windows but the front and the two front doors. As they recommend it’s hard for your eye to tell between 10 percent. So your safe with anything you want to go with on the front of your car.

All of there products are Suntek. They have a lifetime guarantee as long as your didn’t cause the damage. I have used the carbon series for all of mine. They have two other types but the carbon is the most common. So stop on by.

I just got my windows tinted here at Carl Darling, and when I first got them done there were quite a few bubbles. I brought my vehicle back in and they were extremely kind and helpful. They fixed it up right away! The tints are awesome and they are super quick! Best place in IL!!! Carl was very very kind! Well worth the money.

I called for a last second appointment, and Niles was able to squeeze me in within an hour and tint my windshield and front windows. I didn’t have to wait any longer than 30 minutes and I was heading home.

The tinted my new Audi A6 and did a nice job. They were prompt and the workmanship was excellent. I am pretty critical and have to say I was impressed with the outcome. I have tinted windows myself and everything was done very well after inspecting their work.

The film is nice as I was used to 3m film on previous cars . It has held up fairly well other than my mistake of something sharp rubbing on a rear window that scratched the film. I will be taking it there to replace the film.

I am very type A so I notice little details that most people probably wouldn’t and they fixed them right away. This place is awesome called the night before and they told me to bring it in at 9 AM. They said it would take 3 to 4 hours to get it done and they knocked it out in an hour and a half, plus it looks great.

I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who needs their windows tinted. Plus they warrantee the work.

Spent 120 bucks for front 2 windows tinted. It was good, But i found out some bubbles and little tiny edge still not cover with tint. I’m still give this place 4 stars, will come back for my tint for my other cars.

This place is fantastic! I have been looking to tint my windows for some time now and Carl’s kept popping up. They have great reviews so I decided to give them a try. Well they did an awesome job, I am so happy I decided to go there. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and the woman up front takes the time to go over everything with you. The tint looks great and will recommend them to anyone looking to have their windows tinted.

I sought out a knowledgeable tint shop that could tint the windows on my recently purchased Acura TSX. I wanted a great job at a fair price, but didn’t really want to go too far out of my way to get it done (in the past, I’ve gone to small shops in Chicago).

I called Carl Darling and asked about prices and appointments. The woman who answered was helpful and quoted me $240 for 30% on all windows, and a little more ($20 I think) for a 6″ visor on my windshield. I was able to get in for an appointment when it was convenient for me, and it only took about 4 hours from the time I dropped it off until I was able to pick up my car.

Carl himself was there to answer any of my questions and, being unschooled at the process of tinting, my concerns of what looked like “bubbles” on my freshly tinted car. I’m sure he realized what I was going to bring up when I told him I “had some concerns,” but he went outside with me, listened to my concerns, and explained how the tinting process goes and what I should expect when the tint cures. He was truly professional and took his time to explain everything to me, and also brought me into the work area to look at a car that was being tinted at the time. (Of course, I felt like a dummy, but he didn’t make me feel that way!)

I also like that they put a yellow reminder notice (to not roll down my windows for several days) hanging from my rearview mirror and taped my window controls with green painter’s tape. I can’t tell you, out of habit, how many times I tried to roll down my windows even WITH the tape on! =) The tinting itself is under warranty, and Carl gave me the mail-in card with everything filled out (they had me do my part when I arrived) and a stamp, ready to go into the mailbox! He also gave me a copy of the Illinois tinting law with the rest of my paperwork, just in case I get pulled over.

All in all, my experience with Carl Darling Window Tinting was great – very detailed, professional, courteous, and thoughtful! Even better, the price was great! I highly recommend them…even if YOU have to drive a little out of your way!

They did a great job, and are extremely friendly and easy to work with. After noticing some bubbles on the back window after a few weeks, we took my car back and they completely redid the windows. They stand by their product. My windows look fantastic now.

Brought my 2015 Challenger there for tints, for the first time. I’ve had many cars and trucks tinted thru the years at Mid America, but my friend Craig retired and I needed somewhere to take my vehicles. Heard a lot about Carl from a friend, Bob was right, great place. I met Carl & his sister, down to earth people and very informative. Carl assisted me hands down with figuring out the right shade for my car. He did an Awesum job, very clean and took great care of her. The windows look great. They were able to tint my two front windows that day in about 45 minutes. They came out amazing. I am so happy with the results.
